Running into buggy stuff when I create routes in BaseCamp (v 3.3.3) and then use them on the eTrex 30. Anyone else have this problem?
1) Create route via BaseCamp route tool
2) Send route to eTrex 30
3) The eTrex shows the destination at a point that is about 15% short of actual destination. On a seven mile route the destination shows at 5.6 miles on the eTrex 30. Where'd the rest of the route go?
Same problem for two different routes created in BaseCamp.
When I look at the routes on BaseCamp they are fine. If I turn them into tracks and export as gpx and open with Google Earth they are fine.
The route converted to a track in BaseCamp and sent to the eTrex also works.
I used the route drawing tool in BaseCamp which creates via points automatically. Start/end points where created with the tool. I'm just tracing trails so "click, click, click" and so on until the route is complete.
BTW, is there a menu item on the eTrex 30 to turn off displaying all the via points along a route? On the little screen its hard for me to to see the direction icon when its mixed in with many blue markers.
