I'm not sure what y'all call the lower left pane, but I'm calling it the Objects pane (highlighted in blue box on the attachment).
It would be nice to be able to add columns to it (similar to how Windows Explorer allows you to add/hide things like file size, type, date, etc)... The be able to sort by that column.
Items that could be columns are highlighted with red box on a Properties window.
It could be very handy to sort on Date Modified, or Elevation, or Postal Code or .... you get the idea.
Right now, all you can sort on is name or symbol, and the way of doing that (right click in the pane) is less intuitive than having columns with up or down triangles.
