BirdsEye not downloading

Hi all,

Am I the only one unable to download files from BirdsEye this morning. The process goes normally although very slow this morning but all files are "Download Falied".

    The BirdsEye server is still not loading the files. If it is not the server then it is on my end. I have changed nothing. I have restarted my system. I have deleted the selected maps and loaded new ones in other locations. All with the same result. "Download failed"

    My entire day is being shot down here. Very frustrating to say the least. Am preparing for one month on the road, tent camping out of a Jeep in Alaska, and time is precious. Garmin Support hours are four days a week. M-Th from 8-5. Directions provided for Garmin units is seriously lacking. The FAQ files are seriously lacking. For over an hour this morning the Garmin help for the Montana series would only say server error, sorry please try later.

    I may be new on this forum but I have four Garmins, have litterally walked several thousand miles through the dunes of Southern California with Garmin in hand and have waypoints that I created going back for over twenty years so all of this frustration is not coming from someone trying to figure it all out from a brand new box at the last minute!

    Is there any way to know if the BirdsEye server is down? If anyone could try to download a small map just to check...I would love you forever!

    Failed for me too

    I just tested it now and it failed for me also. I know it worked yesterday evening as I downloaded some data for an upcoming trip.

    Thank you very much for checking! It is still not working for me either.

    Someone posted a reply a bit earlier that has since been removed and I did not catch the name but wanted to say thanks for your reply as well. It said that it was working for you and you had a screen shot attached. The only thing I saw different in your screen shot from mine is that yours showed "File version: 3" and mine shows version 4. Well, and that your had loaded OK!

    It never did work that Saturday and I was here till late. Monday it worked just fine so it was the server down and not a problem on my end. Half the frustration would have been relieved if there were a way to know that at the time. Live and learn!

    Since you are talking about Birdseye, I have a question. I purchased it on Thurs. morning. Everything went smoothly as far as product registration and my unit (Oregon 450) communicating with the computer. After it said "Complete" I went on Basecamp to try out my new software. I made a map and tried to send it to my Oregon. The box said "Not registered"...just like I never purchased it. I don't get it, am I missing something?? I tried it again this AM...nothing. So far, I'm 3 days into my annual subscription, and I can't use it yet. I updated Basecamp last weekend, so it should be current.

    I've seen that with my Oregon as well. Sometimes the server seems to have trouble and doesn't recognize my device's subscription. If you cannot get it to work at all, please call product support. They should be able to make sure everything worked out correctly with your subscription purchase.

    I apologize for the troubles.
