Within Basecamp, can you zoom in and then go back to the previous view in one step? Is there a short-cut key?
I tried using BC a year ago and gave up out of frustration with many of its limitations. Several of the problems have been resolved but at the top of the list was the effort and time to reposition and re-dimension after zooming in and then trying to return to the previous view.
For example, I'm previewing a route and notice's that the shaping point is not on an intersection (with street names and thus no audible alert on the zumo) but a business nearby. With the zoom function, I can enlarge the map around the intersection, put a new shaping point on the intersection and erase the erroneous shaping point. However, going back to the previous view (pre- zoom in) requires multiple steps and repositioning by either right clicking the mouse, ‘-‘, or adjusting the scale bar etc. A simple function key such as ‘Ctrl+L’ for last view would save a TREMENDOUS amount of time and put using BC over the top.
I have such a key on a CAD program and for moving between a broad view and detail view its irreplaceable.
