Basecamp doesn't download to Nuvi1300

I have created a route from Columbus OH to Fairfield CT using Basecamp V3.3.3. The default route by Garmin is to take you across the George Washington Bridge. I modified the Basecamp route to use I-287/Tappan Zee bridge route instead. Basecamp showns the modified route in My Collection and the route has been Sent To the All Data folder on the Nuvi 1300. Clicking on both routes in the Basecamp windows show the Tappan Zee route in both devices.

When you select the route on the Nuvi it calculates the route and takes you across the GW. The Tappaz Zee route is not to found anywhere.

I've tried transferring the file manually using Explorer and the TZ route is not found.

What step am I missing here?

According to the specs the nüvi 1300 doesn't support pre-made routes. I guess you did also sent a waypoint to the device and selected that to calculate a route.

That is correct. The 1300 cannot accept routes that you create in Basecamp. There is no way to "select the route on the Nuvi" on the 1300. If you "selected" something, then it was a favorite which is the same thing that Basecamp calls waypoints.

You can send a route to the Nuvi 1300 from Basecamp. You can also send a route to USB flash drive or a memory card. But the fact that you can send it doesn't mean that the receiving device can use the route.
