Trouble Installing B C w/ Win7

Hello,
I am yet another one with trouble installing what is a seemingly easy-to-do process.

I have downloaded the BaseCamp installer from Garmin. "BaseCamp_333.exe"
Once on my computer's drive, I launch it I get the Garmin Installer display indicating it's "Extracting Garmin Web Update".

But then I get a pop up saying:
"Please wait while BaseCamp installs. This may take a few minutes."
And that's it. I have waited hours, just in case. Nothing. I have tried numerous times, downloaded a new installer numerous times (just in case), Etc.

I also tried to research this here, but haven't seen anyone else with this issue.

Any tips, tricks or advice is greatly appreciated. I'm planning a motorcycle route through CO and it sounds like BaseCamp is the ticket (with my 60CSx).

*Note: I DO have a copy of Mapsource loaded onto this laptop and it works fine.

Thanks,
Mike

    Fix found

I have three systems using my corporate image that have this issue. All are Win7/64, all have had the firewall disabled, AV paused, etc. I get the same OK button trying to install BC, or USB drivers, or Web Updater, or the Communicator plugin. Software support said they had no real idea what it might be, except for a bad Win Installer or .Net install. Windows Installer looks to be fine - up to date, running, etc., and the .Net Setup Verifier came back good for everything. Event Viewer has no messages at all in it - success or failure. A few dozen other systems with the same image had no issues, including mine.

I'd love to hear what the fix might be, and from the phone conversation I got off of earlier today, Software Support would as well.

After more back-and-forth with Garmin's software support staff, I finally unpacked the compressed downloads using 7zip and installed everything manually using msiexec - BCMAIN.msi, communicator_64.msi and USB_64.msi - all of which installed without drama and are working fine. So, *something* in the actual "setup.exe" installer they are using is having fits in a handful of my setups, and since the installer doesn't do any logging, I've nothing to use to troubleshoot. However, I'm now up and running, so this may be a good solution for anyone still experiencing this problem.

Well it's 2015 so I'm a little late to the party here.

I have Windows 7 and got that same error message everyone else gets when trying to upload USB drivers.

    Tom's instructions worked.
    1) Unzip with 7zip.
    2) Search the unzipped folder for USB_64.
    3) Double click that to run the installation.

    Successfully communicating again!
