Confusion over updating way points in all folders/lists

Hello All-trying to figure out how to update way points in all lists and folders. Back ground. In Base Camp-I have a master folder called My Collection. With in that folder, I have addition folders that are listed according to mode of travel: Hiking, snow boarding, motorcycle, etc. With in each folder, I have lists according to the day or specific journey. Lets say that I have a list that contains way points, maps and routes. Now that list was done in the beginning of the year. Now today, I created a number of new way points. These new way points are obviously visible in the device (GPS Map 60csx). If I create a new list for today, I can transfer the entire collection of way points including the most recent. Question is, how to I get all the newer way points into the older lists. I have many lists and there has to be a way to update all, not just one list at a time. Thanks in advance. My first post.
Not sure if I agree. I'm feeling I want way points from today, to show up on lists from day one (8 years ago, or Jan 1st 2012). Since switching to BC, I have multiple lists but the older lists have less way points. I can drag and drop each list as you suggested, but it gets old when you have over 50 lists that need to be updated. Not sure if I am missing something. Before using Base Camp, I would go on a hike or ride, create a way point, and often wait until I get home to customize the way point with a specific name, delete, change the symbol, etc. Now I have to drag and drop to each list. I hope I am explaining this correctly? Bet never the less, thank you for responding. Off to hike around Lake Tahoe with the kids.
Cool-a dialog. "My collection" folder has a folder marked KTM 2012 Individual. KTM 2012. I have a journal of moto rides. One folder has one list that combines all the rides. The other folder will have one list by date. The folder with the multiple lists will need to be updated individually if I want that list to have the latest way points. I'm trying to figure if there is a way to remove way points, modify, etc from the device (within BS) to all lists with in "my collection." As it is, you are unable (I think) to remove or edit a way point from the device (GPS Map 60Csx-within BC), then update that list back to BC from the device.
I'm still not sure I fully understand but I'm pretty sure there's no way to achieve what you want. Maybe you need to think about a different way to organise your data :confused:
SUSSAMB-thanks for posting....again. LOL. Let me try to explain again. I have a GPS Map 60 Csx that is almost 6 years old. From day one, I have saved tracks to my computer by discipline. Examples of disciplines: hiking, motor cycle riding, mountain bike riding, flying, etc. If I did a off road moto ride today, and added new way points to that saved track, if I go back to a similar ride, but one that took place months ago-the new way points will not show up on the older ride. So I am looking for a way to keep all my saved tracks, regardless of age, with the most updated list of way points. This year alone, I have over 60 lists. Not including tracks from over the years. As stated before-I could simply delete all way points from a given track, then drag and drop the latest way point list into the old track-but there has to be a easier way. Thanks again.
