URGENT! Birdseye download help needed

Which device's GarminDevice.xml did you use?

The message you are describing seems to indicate that the device doesn't support BirdsEye.

I use my GarminDevice.xml file on a USB drive as well and it works fine because the device described in that file is my registered Montana.

I was under the impression that a BirdsEye Subscription could only be activated to a single, previously registered, "compatible" device. I didn't think that Garmin allowed a BirdsEye Subscription to be "moved" to another device once registered so how are folks doing what you suggest?

I was under the impression that Birdseye is for

ALL GARMIN USERS

I am a huge predicament

I form part of a huge Garmin club
We enjoy the outdoors
I told them about the Birdseye capabilities

ON PC and ON DEVICES

So they pleaded to me to pay and download certain areas that they can view it on pc, before putting it on their devices (off course paying)

We challenged other competitors for an outdoor competition, huge thing, knowing we would have Birdseye in our advantage on laptop and on Devices

I HAVE PAID FOR MY OWN DOWNLOADS
CONNECTED MY GPS DEVICE
PAID IN FULL

Now I can't dl

How on earth can I now go back to my group with this disappointment?

Why would Garmin take my money, with my device connected, seemingly now that I can't dl with an uncompilable device.

I didn't think that Garmin allowed a BirdsEye Subscription to be "moved" to another device once registered so how are folks doing what you suggest?

Although I'm sure these issues are important to him, I don't understand most of what MAPWORM posts. :)

However, if you have downloaded Birdseye imagery to your computer you can certainly move it to another device, provided that that device also has a valid Birdseye subsciption. It is not necessary to download it again from Garmin's servers.

I had 14+ GB of Birdseye on my computer from my Oregon 400t. When I purchased my Montana 600, I also purchased a Birdseye subscription for it. I was then able to send my existing imagery from Basecamp to the Montana.

However, it would not work to insert the same SD card from the Oregon in the Montana, since those .jnx files had already been unlocked for the Oregon.

You still have not told us which Garmin GPS you used to register your BirdsEye Subscription. Not all Garmin GPS are capable of using BirdsEye Imagery.

I think the salesman misled me completely

Montana and Birdseye

Hi, I had purchased Birdseye imagery for my Oregon 450, when I upgraded to a Montana 600 I could not use the maps as they were invalid, so I purchased some more and downloaded to a mico sd in the Montana this was all ok, but I still cannot use the exisiting maps that I had for the Oregon as they come up as invalid, is there any way round this?
