How can I import a waypoint symbol from my gpsmap 62s and use it with basecamp.
No. That said BaseCamp supports up to 64 custom waypoint symbols so you create one to match what's in your 62S.
And no, its not possible (unless I missed something) to "export" your device's symbols to bring them in as "custom" symbols on basecamp. Same with the symbols that are "embedded" in Basecamp.
I thought you could do this by exporting the waypoint symbol from your device using Garmin's xImage app...
I thought you could do this by exporting the waypoint symbol from your device using Garmin's xImage app, then re-name the symbol and add it to the custom waypoints folder. I don't have my win box running right now so I can't check.
I tried xImage on my eTrex and it will allow you to pull any of the 24 custom waypoints it supports (which are currently just magenta squares).
