Installing Birdseye Maps onto Edge 800

If I download large chunks of Birdseye image maps to Basecamp (~230MB max), can I then select smaller bits to transfer to my Edge 800 for bike rides? If so, how? If not, I guess I have to DL smaller bits using the line drawing tool to outline the roads I plan to ride and transfer individually.

I have the City Navigator NA 2012 SD card in my Edge 800, and it only has about 216MB free, and the internal memory has only 90MB free, so I can't put much in either place. I understand I can put the Birdseye maps on another larger SD card, but then I lose the ability of navigate, right?

Thanks for the help.

If you remove the card with your CN map on it, then you cannot navigate anymore (unless you have a different map on the internal memory).

If you have the map as a DVD, or Lifetime map update installation, then you can use MapInstall to install only parts of the CN map, and you would end up with more room. (Or you could install it on a bigger SD card.)

With BirdsEye, yes, I would propose to download smaller chunks and use those to transfer them to the Edge. I apologize for the inconvenience.
