Hi,
[FONT="Times New Roman"]I was reading about on USNG mapping, and using Basecamp make my understand the coordinates better. When do so, I found out the Basecamp is using the wrong 100,000 identifier.
For example, the Bear Mt bridge in New York has a UTM coordinates of
18 T 584756 4574560
From my understanding of USNG, the coordinates of the same spot would be
18 T WL 8475674560
The coordinates that BaseCamp displays is 18TWA8475674560
When I plug in my and BaseCamp's coordinates into my Oregon, Basecamp's coordinates gives me a place in Canda and my coordinates puts me on Bear Mt bridge.
Just letting you know about the error.
Just an update: The datum that Basecamp has an issue with USNG is NAD27. When changing the datum to WGS84, BaseCamp displays the correct 100,000 identifier.
