I wonder if consideration could be given to amending future installers so that the user got to choose where to situate the prime database file. I prefer to have my database file located on a separate drive to the application and to one that I have a backup programme run nightly. As an example, Adobe Lightroom also uses a database approach but the location of the database file (lrcat) is chosen by the user.
