Any way to show track labels on the map?

Currently I believe the label is only displayed when the track is selected.

I can see that track labels could be useful. They might also clutter up the map display, so it would have to configurable in some way. We'll see what we can do. But this will probably be a low priority feature. So no promises.

Having a track name appear when the pointer (GPS pointer and mouse pointer) was placed on the track line (in the GPS and in BaseCamp) would be useful.

That happens right now. Select the Arrow tool. Almost all features including tracks have a popup balloon with name and data.

Sorry, yes, you are quite right! It would be great if this function was carried though to the GPS too.

Thanks Falagar, I am trying to make publishing maps, so I might take the data over to a GIS program where I have full control of labelling.
