My apologies, if this feature request has already been offered.

Can you consider providing the ability to lock the toolbar, once the user has turned on the toolbars they wish to show and positioned them within the toolbar area? Perhaps a right click within the toolbar area to provide a lock toolbars option would work.

The intention is for BaseCamp to remember the toolbar layout and give you the same look after a re-start of the application.

What in particular doesn't work for you there? Would you mind posting a screen-shot. If there is something borked, we'd like to fix it. Thanks.

After first clean installation, the toolbars are not remembered. If you close BC and start it the second time, after that the toolbar settings are saved and remembered.

Seen it several times now at my customers.

Every time I start BaseCamp search bar reappears, I mean the additional bar for inserting search keywords. And I always close it, because I prefer to see more map.

Ah, you mean the search re-index with every map every time, that's another one and is indeed annoying especially on slower computers

We'll look into the toolbar issue.

The fact that the search bar always appears is a bug, and a different issue. That will be fixed at some point.

Any idea when locking the toolbar setup in Basecamp will be made possible? I've just downloaded and updated to the latest version of BC, v4.01

They already did, it was functional in some of the betas, then they broke it again just in time for the 4.0.1 release!
