Is there a way to get basecamp to show County and farm to market "FM" roads? I've zoomed in to 80 ft and have checked Display and Activity Profile with no luck, and also it's not showing all towns. I imported a route from mapsource and it shows the route alright, but there is some of it without roads and towns.
This sounds like you have a map that does not have that level of detail. Subscribing to this thread because I'm interested in follow ups.
And curious: what states have "FM" roads. I thought it was a Texas thing, or is that where you are?
Sorry took so long to get back, crazy work schedule.
The map I'm talking about is City Navigator North America NT 2012.4
PLARKINJR yes I live in Texas and Farm to Market rds. are here. The roads I'm talking about are actually Ranch Roads 335,336, and 337, it makes a loop. If you search for Twisted Sisters in Leaky, Texas it will bring it up. It's a beautiful ride any way you go, motorcycle or car.
Its great that Dave was able to help you get up and running.
I'm in TX too, and yes some of the best motorcycling roads are FM's.... except when the pavement on the right wheel rut starts to slump and sheer off from heat and drought.
I am posting here because its related. When I first down loaded BaseCamp, County roads and small towns showed up. I realize I have to be zoomed in. They no longer show. I have checked the following View>Toolbars>make sure Detail Level is selected
Set detail level to Highest. I have even uninstalled BaseCamp and re installed it. I cant get County roads and small towns back. I downloaded baseCamp on a different computer and the are there. Any idea as to what is going on?
