Question on displaying waypoints

Maybe I'm just not seeing it but is there a way to temporarily not display my user created waypoints? In mapsource I can just set to "No categories". I created an empty list under All Data that I can select to not display my waypoints but is there a better way? With my way I also don't see my routes. I sort of miss mapsource categories.

Sometimes I just want to remove my own clutter when looking at the map.

I have separate lists for my routes, then I can just display them on the map by selecting the appropriate list :)

Thanks. I created a separate list for my routes and copied my routes into it. Basecamp 3.3.2 also copied all waypoint contained in those routes as well. So when I display a route I also see all the waypoints associated with all the other routes. Is this as expected?

AFAIK if a route contains a waypoint then it's linked to that route, so it will show with it and you'll be unable to delete it unless you delete the route.

And that would be OK. What is happening is that with this test I have 53 routes in a new list. These 53 routes have linked 77 various waypoints among the 53 routes. Regardless of which route I'm looking at I see all 77 waypoints from all the other routes in the list on the map. That is what I'd like to be able to suppress.

I sort of miss mapsource categories.

FYI "categories", when read from a GPS unit, get converted to BaseCamp "lists". The reverse is also true.

OK, thanks for the information. I guess I'll just keep my empty list as a work around.
