Route editing

Hi

I must be missing something simple here, but how do you extend a route at a later date>

I can create the route and save it, but if i come back and want to extend it i can't seem to get it to continue on.

Any suggestions it's driving me mad!

I just create a new route then join the two ;)

To join routes select them both in the left hand pane, right click either of them and select advanced then join selected routes :)

Other way would be to move the end point to where you want the new end point, then use the insert tool to insert new points as necessary.

A couple ways to skin this cat but an easy method to append to an existing route is first select your route then goto menu Tools-->Insert (or use "I" keyboard shortcut), click end point of route (selection circle will appear) then begin drawing line segments.

Glad it all helped, Basecamp does take a bit of getting used to but once you're up to speed I prefer it over Mapsource (never thought I'd say that :))
