"Getting Started with BaseCamp" Problem on Netbook

I am using BaseCamp 3.3.1 on a Windows netbook (in addition to my desktop computer). The Getting Started with BaseCamp (aka Welcome to BaseCamp) window, which is displayed every time BaseCamp is started, is too large to be seen completely. As a result, I cannot see nor click the check box to set BaseCamp to not show this window every time the program is started.

Is there a way to fix this problem? Is there a registry setting or other configuration file that can be edited to stop this dialog window from showing up every time BaseCamp is stated?

I'm sure Garmin will be along shortly to correctly handle this but, in the meantime, hit ALT-F4 to close the window and continue on.

I had the same problem on my netbook. Tried hooking up to a larger monitor but couldn't get any screen or resolution changes to display the check box. Finally fiddled with it and was 'just' able to get my cursor close to the check box, and it accepted the change.

Temporary fix for BC 3.3.1:
1. click on the title bar "Getting Started with BaseCamp"
2. press the "Tab" key once
3. press spacebar once (to check the don't show me again option)
4. press the "Esc" key to close the dialog
5. restart BaseCamp
