Problem Sending BC route to 62sc

Hi

I've recorded a Track and taken pictures with the 62sc and have trasferred them to Basecamp fine

I've now created a route in BC and sent it to the 62sc

The route and wp show in All Data for the 62sc along with a couple of manually entered waypoints

However when I goto Route Planner on the device there are no routes displayed and if I goto waypoints only the manually entered ones show

So where has my route ad wp gone that displays in bascamp on the device ??

Is there some setting that stops the display of data send from BC ??

Have I some how put it in the wrong place ?

PS can BC talk to serial COM ports as I also have an old legend

Using windows expkorer I've found the Routes.gpx file on the device and that has the route and wp in. Any ideas on why the device it self cannot see this ?

I'm not familiar with that device. Some Nuvi models and some other handhelds require that you "import" the route once it has been transfered to the device. I don't know the menu system for your device so can't tell you where to look for the command.

The 62 is a user data sync device, so the routes should show up right away without any import.

If you like, you can attach the route.gpx file and I can check if there is something wrong with it.

Yes that is what I would expect

Here is the file

I've not 'tampered' with it in anyway and it contains stuff just entered on the device or the K002-K032 route I sent to it from BC

The file looks fine and the route shows up ok when I transfer it to my test device.

So I am unsure as to what might be going on. Have you tried sending other routes to your 62? Do they show up?

You might want to contact product support, they might be able to assist you better than I can, maybe there is something botched with your device.

P.S. BaseCamp will not talk to serial devices. (I overlooked that question before.)

I had the same thing happen to me last week on the 62S

I sent it a route from Basecamp and it showed up on the 62S folder in BAsecamp as normal. (I have been doing this for about 18 months with no problems)
However this time when I arrived at the start point of my route and turned the 62S on, there were no routes on it at all.

The only difference was the last time I connected it to Basecamp, it did a firmware update, so I can only assume there is a bug in that.

Ah !

Yes I updated to the latest firmware as soon as I plugged the unit in as it automatically popped up before I created the route

Maybe you could attach your route here and see I they can find something common ?
