Hi I am from Turkey. I have a etrex 20. I can't create a birdseye imagery. I open basecamp. Click new birdseye. Select my device but it says "there was an error communicating with birdseye imagery services. Please try again later." I also have an error when I start basecamp. The software asks me "do you want to use birdseye maps?" I select yes but it says "there was a problem communicating with etrex 20 (unit id: ......) An error occured while reading the following file(s): G:Garmin/gps/BirdsEye Demo.gpx What should I do?
I have the same problem here, my device is 62S, i am getting the same error. Is that because of connection from Turkey? I purchased birdseye and can not use it!
15 attempts to get a Birdseye Select in to my Etrex 30 last night and a fair few again this morning. Fails everytime. Tried two different areas, and even a tiny test space and it fails. Google search doesn't throw much more than 'Garmins servers not working' suggestion. Pretty bloody frustrating.
And Basecamp can't show the exact credits I have. A space where the number should be. My initial experience of Garmin is awful.
I've paid 25 usd for this program and got nothing. I mailed garmin, opened and issue at my.garmin.com, they said they would give me an answer in 3 days and still got nothing. I am seriously thinking to open a case. Seems i am swindled by garmin.
