Went out and upgraded my Oregon and bought a montana 650. Loaded all new software (Basecamp, Oil trax, Backroads mapbook, Topo Canada) and decided to add Birdeye to basecamp. (ofcourse after bringing up the internal google earth overlay over topo canada.)
The birdeye maps are not even close to the same detail in the highest setting nor are they even close to being as accurate as the ones I loaded on the Oregon when it was bought new (3 yrs ago) Lack of logging activity...New cutlines etc...
Is it a basecamp issue......
False advertising.......
Or Inferiour maps.......
Why dose the Google earth overlay (in base camp) give you the good quality......But then you pay for the maps and you get crap.
