Basecamp to Nuvi 2555LMT Route Issue

New Nuvi 2555LMT, map and software updated to latest revision. Windows XP pro system. How do I transfer a route from Basecamp to the 2555LMT? Do I need a Micro SD card?

I have exported a route by saving it as a ".gpx" file then copied it to the "GPX" folder in the Nuvi 2555. I can then load the route but the Nuvi recalulates the route rather than follow the route that was transfered and was shown in Basecamp.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Not many of our devices support what you are trying to do. Currently it's pretty much just the Zumos that do not recalculate the route after receiving it from BaseCamp.

We hope that this will change, and are lobbying with the device teams trying to make it happen.

For now, all you can really do is add more via-points to your route before sending it off. That should make sure the Nuvi stays on the route you calculated in BaseCamp.

issue resovled

I did a total restore and that corrected the problem

It doesn't recalculate the route after you send it from BaseCamp?
