1490LMT and Basecamp 3.2 Beta

I created a route for a trip I'm taking next week in Basecamp and tried to send it to my 1490LMT. The small icons show the file is being transferred, but when I start the Nuvi, the route isn't there. I tried sending this route to my device at least a half dozen times this morning with the same result. The only way I've found to get the route in the 1490 is to do it with the device. This is not satisfactory, as the mapping software (newest NT2012.3) routes me way out of the way.

Do I have to have a micro SD card in the Nuvi in order to send routes from Basecamp to it?

Also, when I first connected the 1490 to my computer with Basecamp open, it added a copy of my gps installed map to my map list. As it was already there, then extra version comes up with a warning that it has limited use.

Any help with these issues will be appreciated.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit on my Intel based laptop.

...but when I start the Nuvi, the route isn't there.

That's because routes don't automatically appear. You have to "import" them after the fransfer.

Go to Tools, My Data, Import Route(s)

    No.

This is normal since you have the maps on your PC and your 1490LMT. Basecamp allows you to use the map on the unit for situations where it's not also on your PC.

Thank you. That solved the problem.

Incidentally, the second copy of my map that appeared in Basecamp also disappeared.
