Can't download basecamp-problem with existing maps

I am having problems downloading Basecamp. A message appears stating
"There is a problem with the .... map installation. Please reinstall ... and start basecamp again." This an existing map set which I purchased a few years ago. Any ideas what's going on and how to fix ?

It looks like the map is bad. Have you tried re-installing the map?

BaseCamp does a few more checks for map validity now. So that's why it might have worked before. We added the checks because we had a lot of badly built maps causing run-time errors. So now we try to catch what we can before it causes any mayhem.

Which map is it? If you let the forum community know which map it is they might have some hints of what could be done to fix it (even if it is a third party one).

Thanks, I have removed the map (Brents Topo maps of New Zealand) from my PC and download works fine now.
