Very simple.......famous last words right? :D

With all 1500 waypoints in BaseCamp select all the waypoints.

A warning...I do not use BaseCamp very often, I use MapSource and WinXP. In MapSource I have selected 150-200 waypoints by highlighting the first then scrolling down to the last and hold "Shift" and left click. It took 3-4 minutes for MapSource to finally get them all selected and highlighted. BaseCamp may act the same way so with 1500 waypoints you might have to wait 20 minutes before they are all highlighted. Don't get impatient...;)

If and when you get everything highlighted just right click in the highlighted area and pick "Properties" then change the symbol to whatever and all the highlighted waypoints will be changed to that symbol. It does not matter what their symbols were before, they could have been all different but they will all be the same after you pick the new one.

That feature will eventually make it into HomePort as well. We are aware that it is time for an update.

    Hi Wayne,

You always need to be sure to select symbols in the PC program (Basecamp, Mapsource, etc) that are also on you GPS device. They do not always match. If the symbol you select in the PC program is not available on the device it will be replaced by something else, usually whatever the default symbol on the device is.

The easiest way to check the situation is to edit a "favorite" on the device and one on the PC program, select to change the symbol and see what is offered on both. You will see lots of symbols in common but you will also see differences. Avoid the differences. :)
