Basecamp doesn't update its waypoint lists for my device

My master waypoint list is in basecamp via the "my collection" menu. I have an Oregon 300 with a memory card so I see two device "All Data" lists, one for the Oregon 300 main memory, the other for the memory card. Recently I decided to do some housecleaning. I have all my geocache waypoints stored on the main memory of the device and I wanted to move all of my other waypoints onto the memory card. (I found if I move any caches that I've found into my collection, base camp assigns it the closed treasure chest symbol so I cannot move them to my collection, but that is an entirely different issue) anyway, I moved all the non-cache waypoints I wanted to save into "my collection" and deleted them on the device (by going to the manage waypoints menu and deleting each one of them there). Any ideas how to get my lists to sync correctly?

I am not sure the Oregon 300 supports user data sync.

If it looks like you cannot delete items with BaseCamp from the Oregon 300 internal memory (items other than the current tracks), then the Oregon 300 doesn't support user data sync and you unfortunately cannot use BaseCamp to delete data on your Oregon's internal memory.

You'll have to delete the items while using the device's menus.

BaseCamp 3.2.2 also doesn't allow to delete data on your device's SD card. That will most likely change in 3.3. You will be able to change data on memory cards.

I realize I cannot delete oregon data from basecamp. Please read my post again. I said I deleted them on the device but basecamp is not seeing them as deleted and are still reporting them on my device, when in fact they have been deleted. This leads me to believe either there is a file stored on the GPS that is not being updated, or something in basecamp that is not being updated. Sorry for the confusion.

I apologize. I did indeed misread your question.

Check your device's gpx folder for files with the gpx extension. Back them up somewhere (in case you want to revert your action) and delete them from that folder. That should make them go away for BaseCamp.

No apology needed falagar, you have helped me more than once. This has worked in my early experiment. I'll work more on it tomorrow. Thanks
