After numerous tries and coming close to putting my fist through the screen I discovered a Base Camp fundamental: You cannot delete waypoints in Base Camp unless they actually reside in the BC Library- My Collection. Even if you see them in BC you might be viewing the contents of the GPS or the SD card. To edit them in BC select the device that makes the waypoints appear in the center left window. Then right click on the highlighted device and click Send to, My Collection. Now highlight My Collection and select the folder containing the waypoints you want to edit. You can now delete, copy, rename, or whatever. Someone else may have an easier method or a better way to explain this, (Hey, I'm just a Junior Member) but this works for me.
I use a Edge 800, and I just delete the "locations" folder in the "800" once it gets full of all these left and right turn points etc and can hold no more.
I also have a file which I have made in mapsource with all the waypoints that I may want, mainly villages etc, and after I have deleted the locations folder, I just upload from mapsource to the "800" all my waypoints and the locations folder is recreated.
