I've been using BC for a week now and so far my experience has been mostly positive. I do have a few things I'd like to submit for a future release.

1- There are times when I want to route via highways and fastest route and then there are times when I want the lest traveled route and shortest route. Why can't these options be assigned to a route instead of global options?

2- When your GPS is attached and you can view the routes and waypoints on the unit, it would be nice if you could delete routes and/or waypoints.

3- On the Playback Info it would be nice if you could type in a Distance to jump to.

4- When you have a route selected and are using the insert tool to add a route shaping point, when you mouse over a waypoint it would be nice if it highlighted the waypoint (like MS does) so you know your adding the waypoint and not just some point on the map.

That's my list for now.

You can do that by:
1. open the properties dialog of your route
2. change the activity profile drop-down to Custom
3. the Route Options tab should appear. Those options are assigned to the selected route only (not global options)

2. during a playback, you can "jump" by moving the slider

GREAT! hadn't gotten that far in the program. That's a big plus. Another big plus is being able to search for Hotels/Motels or what ever from "center of map", not sure how to use "center of selection" yet....

Yea, I figured that one out, still would like to just enter a value. And while we're speaking of the slider, it would be nice to be able to use the slider with out having to first press the play button. Just an extra step.

Figured out how to use "Find", "Center of Selection".

Using Find, click on a waypoint then search, pretty cool!

A friend of mine brought up an option that can be found in Delorme mapping program. You can set an option to calculate and show gas stops based on perimeters you enter in the route preferences (size of gas tank and MPG).

This would be a great add on....
