It appears the only way to create a WP is to click on the map with "New Waypoint" and go from there. I'd like to see an option of creating a new WP withOUT having to use the map if I already know the position. Open a dialog (similar to the properties window) and fill out the position and other information.
Related to this, the "auto-rounding" (or whatever its called) of numbers in the position space creates a lot of frustration. I sometimes like to refine the position by editing the latitude and longtitude information. If you are not paying attention, editing the position can send the WP off somewhere else. I do appreciate BC helping me keep the format valid.
