The issue is that this message is so broad, it's very hard to tell what might be going on.

I'd probably start by re-installing BaseCamp 3.2.2 and the map (if you have it installed on the computer).

There also might be some issue with your Windows installation, it's really hard to tell.

How much data do you have stored inside BaseCamp?

Are you running the most current version of BaseCamp, 3.2.2? http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=4435

    program has stopped

Thanks for the reply FALAGAR and I am sorry for the broad explanation of my issue. I had downloaded the 24K topo map and base camp on a laptop running Windows 7 last year. I did copy most of the 24 K topo map to a micro sd to use in my 60CSX. I used base map to down load around 20 different routes and close to 50 different waypoints. I use to click on the Base Camp icon and it would start up with no problem. Now when I click on the Base Camp icon a window pops up that reads; “Base Camp Application has stopped working -windows is checking for a solution to the problem”. The popup window goes away with nothing happening. I have deleted the program and re-installed it from the disk and it does the same thing. I did download the latest most current version of Base Camp, 3.2.2. I might have a problem with windows but the laptop has been operating normal. I assume you can tell that I don’t know my way around a computer enough to trouble shoot the system for problems. Any suggestions that might help me get the Base Camp up and running would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure where you are located, but you might have better luck calling customer support.

The only other thing I could propose would be to backup and delete your current database to see if there is some corrupt data that makes the software crash. But doing that isn't straight-forward either, it might be better if someone walked you through that on the phone.

If you can tell me the name of the file or folder that is allocated for the data I have placed in the BaceCamp program I can back it up and delete it. I was thinking it might be 24KTOPOH.MDR but am not sure. I can call support tomorrow for more help if I can't get it working. Thanks

    The folder is %APPDATA%\Garmin\BaseCamp.

It might be hidden for you, so you'd have to enable being able to see hidden files.

What %APPDATA% is, depends on your version of Windows. But you can just type the path %APPDATA%\Garmin\BaseCamp into your file explorer and it will take you there.
