BaseCamp can't start

Hello,
I would like to use my new miniSD card with my Dakota 20 in order to save some info but BaseCamp doesn't start as soon as the miniSD is in place in my GPS.

I'm running baseCamp on a windows7 64 bits with the last patch.
baseCamp is, as far as i can see, the last version (3.1.2)
My Dakota 20 is also with his last release (upgraded last week)

With mapSource, I can upload a birdseye map into the miniSD and I can see it with my Dakota20. But after, each time I would like to start baseCamp, I got this message (more or less 8 times) and baseCamp stop.

If I remove the miniSD, baseCamp start normally after some minutes. How can I use my miniSD with baseCamp ?

Many thanks for any help

I don't think Mapsource is compatible with Birdseye in any way, so how did you do that? Or maybe I missed an update or something.

What data do you have on that SD card? If it's not too much, could you zip up the contents and see if you can attach it to this post (or send me a private message with it attached).

Can you back-up the data from the SD card, erase everything and see if it works then?

    Hello,

@OSTROFF01: You are right, the two maps were saved in a 'garmin/CustomMaps' folder, sorry for my mistake. I'm currently trying to look at this type of info.

@FALAGAR: During my last attempt, there was no data in the miniSD card, because I moved the contents of the card to my PC. Still, the folder name "Garmin" and perhaps some hidden data.

Is it normal that, without a connected GPS, BaseCamp take few minutes to start ? Very difficult to get it!
And, Is there any way to format the card for the GPS ?

    Many thanks for your help
    Stefan!

If you format the card on the PC be sure that you use a FAT format (e.g. FAT16 or FAT32). I'm pretty sure Garmin's devices do not understand NTFS formatted cards. I would appreciate a correction if I'm wrong.

If there is nothing wrong with the card, I'm not sure why you would format it.

    Hi,
I do not want to format the card, just a question to get a free of data card.
Well, I do another go with baseCamp and my miniSD.
After removing the folder 'AppData/Roaming/GARMIN/BaseCamp', I start the program without the GPS. A few minutes later (a little bit long ), the program start. I connect the GPS with the miniSD on board, synchro and that's run. I can see the map, the waypoint, etc... I can plug and unplug the GPS to check my work, CustomMaps on my miniSD. For now, it's OK but baseCamp is already running.
Now, if I stop baseCamp and restart it, it crash with the message showed in my first message here.

And now, if I don't remove the folder, I can't use the software.

    Regards
    Stefan

PS: baseCamp was upgraded to 3.2.1.0 but not yet tested for this problem

So what behavior does BaseCamp 3.2.1 display?

There seems to be some issue with your data. If you have a way to zip up 'AppData/Roaming/GARMIN/BaseCamp' and make it available for me somewhere I could try to figure out what is failing for you.
