Exporting a route

I want to export a route from basecamp, so I can load it into google earth, convert it to a kml file and upload to geocaching.com so i can list the caches en route.

I have exported the gpx file from basecamp, but when opened in any other application, (google earth, GSAK) nothing shows - what am I doing wrong ?

I want to export a route from basecamp...

Just use BaseCamp's View menu, Google Earth, Selected Items (select the Route first) feature.

I had this problem as well. When I'm working within my own computer, selecting to view in Google Earth directly works well. Sometimes though it is necessary to collaborate or work outside these constraints.

I found when importing a GPX from Basecamp into Google Earth, selecting "Create KML LineStrings" in the Google Earth GPS Data Import dialog will result in the route from Basecamp being visible in Earth.
