I agree with all of the above regarding the filter etc.

Also I do not seem to have any distance or altitude numbers displayed on the graph axis for elevation profile on the properties tab.

I get an error as Basecamp is loading saying I have a problem with "KML" data.
If I press "fix" it loads OK, but it never happened in the previous version.

    Phil
  • I am also getting the KML message every time I open Basecamp. What file is causing the problem? What is the workaround?

Active profile for BaseCamp software version 3.2.1

After installing BaseCamp software version 3.2.1 and running it for the first time , the programme prompts me to select an active profile but there is none available and no option to select one. The program cannot proceed beyond this point and has to be terminated with the task mamager .

    Please advise

    regards

the KML warning at startup seems to happen when there are custom maps in the "My Collection" library area. I just click the "Fix" button and haven't noticed any real problems. Or you can delete the custom maps from the "My Collection" area and just keep them on your device.

    Cache ikons

In this new version one is not allowed to change icons on caches. I think it's nice to see what type of cache it is directly on the map, now you have to click each cache to open the properties box to see it. Why can´t I change it anymore? With the new 1.0.1 gpx-support you have introduced new icon´s that one can see in the properties box. Why not use them directly on the map?
  • +1 for me to be able to see the cache type on the map.

One new feature of this release is the possibility to duplicate a route. A known function of MapSource.
But editing the duplicate route is not the same as in MapSource.
There is a duplicate made of the route but not the intermediate points.
The original and the duplicate are sharing the (way) points.
For example; after recalculation it appears that you need to move a point.
Now the point is moved both in the copy as in the original route.
Both routes are then changed. In MapSource, the original remains unchanged.
    Is there a solution?

    Something for the wish-list:

If a user hoovers over an item on the map, a datalabel pops up. It would be nice (next to the move, select and edit-icons) to have an icon for datalabel on/off.

If one looks at the properties-tab of a route, you can't see how many vias/waypoints are in the list (unless they are series from '1'). If it is of a track, you have a bottomline, telling the number of via's and total length.

Thanks for reporting. We'll have to work on a fix for this.

If I connect my 76CSx, it won't be available in Basecamp.
If I close and restart Basecamp while the gps is still connected, it is available.
