Looking for Assistance: Using Basecamp for Geocaching Event

Hi,

I'm new to this group. I was a bit waylaid for awhile with Lyme disease, but it was caught early and I'm doing much better. Now I'm playing catch-up re: upcoming commitments, including a geocaching event I'm sponsoring tomorrow (Sunday).

I have BaseCamp installed. I created and downloaded the waypoints I needed for the event and made a folder for them. Now, all my points appear on the BaseCamp map window but the fold is empty. I'm looking for assistance re: keeping my waypoints in the folder.

At tomorrow's event, my intent is to have my laptop and transfer the waypoints for the route in the folder to any participants hand-held unit.

Any assistance anyone can provide in how I can get and keep the waypoints in the designated folder would be much appreciated.

Also, any other feedback/advice/tips on using BaseCamp for transfer of waypoints for a geocaching event would be very welcome. Thank you.

    Ok... dumb question:

After you created and downloaded the points did you drag them into the folder you created to hold them? IOW, were they once in the newly created folder?

Yes, just select the stuff you want to put into the folder and either right-click / send-to or just drag the selected item into the folder.

Then just connect units to BaseCamp, select data in My Collection (or your folder) and drag or send-to the items to the device.
