Is there a way to obtain an older version of Basecamp that will run on XP SP2? Garmin tech support informs me that only the latest versions are available, and those require SP3. I have no intention of upgrading my system to SP3, but I have the latest version of .net installed.

You can get any older version you want here.

There are also previous versions of other Garmin software and firmware stored there if you should ever need it. Bookmark it. You never know when you might need it. :)

That's a great resource. I'm not quite sure which version was the last to work with SP2-- I'm assuming any of the v3.x require SP3-- is that correct?

2.0.9 is the last one.

I have to say that 2.0.9 is a lot worse (in speed and functionality) than the current versions.

Is there any good reason not to go SP3? But that is of course up to you. :)

Hi there,

Yesterday, I was able to install BaseCamp 3.1.3 on my XP SP2.
I was really surprised, because I've already tried to install one of previous 3.1.x without any success.

BTW, beta version 3.2.0.2 also runs fine on WinXP SP2 (though to install it you'll need to run an MSI file which is created by the installer in %temp% folder).
