I get parallel routes showing on the 705. I lay out a road ride in Basecamp using car/motorcycle, auto-routing, shorter distance. It looks good so I save it and export it as a gpx to my 705. I select the ride under Where to, Saved Rides, and select Navigate. The 705 works through it quickly and it looks generally good, except there are places where the route is double, one following the road and one taking a cross-country shortcut.
What am I doing wrong, or is there a way to prevent/fix this?
I should add that I'm using City Navigator maps bought on SD card in the unit to create the routes in Basecamp.
Also, when I click along the roads to lay out the ride in BC, the route goes to addresses or gas stations, diners, etc. I just want the route to stick to the road without these superfluous waypoints. How do lay out a ride without these waypoints showing up?
