I have a Garmin 450t that I bought in Switzerland. It came with the "Recreational Map of Europe v3.01". So far this combination is meeting all my needs.
I use Basecamp for plotting waypoints and other stuff like that on my Oregon. For the most part, Basecamp displays the Recreational Map of Europe exactly the way the Oregon does. All the same roads, trails and POI's.
In Italy, however, Basecamp displays only a fraction of what the Oregon does. Basecamp shows most roads in Italy as little disconnected "spagheti fragments" scattered about. This does not change regardless of how closely I zoom in. And it does not display any POI's at all. The Oregon, on the other hand, DOES display all the Italian roads completely and also shows many useful POI's. So, I have been using the Oregon for my waypoint planning in Italy so far. But that is a little cumbersome.
My question is: Is there a way to make Basecamp display the same map information as the Oregon for Italy when using the Recreational Map of Europe v3.01?
