I started up BaseCamp Beta and it crashed on startup. every time! or so I thought. I re-installed, cleared all temp folders, checked the registry... nothing.
The problem was that when it first asked me whether I wanted to provide analytics data, without reading the whole paragraph, clicked No!
Little did I realize that the No button actually meant Quit. After I click the No button, BaseCamp chugs along, starts drawing the map, activates many UI elements, and just as I begin to click on something, swoosh, its gone!
Simple solution, clicked the Yes button and everything's normal now.
