I have an Oregon 450 and am using BaseCamp ver 3.1.3 on Winodws 7, 64 bit machine. The preloaded map that came with my device (Topo Adventure CD4 Bergen 1016 MI Fedje, 1017 MI Bulandet, 1017 MII Utv?r,1) is not visible in BaseCamp. I CAN see the additional road map I purchased (City Navigator Europe NT 2011.2), as well as the default "Global map", which let's be fair is useless for any planning... and all other functionalities appear normal- can plan routes, open gpx files, see trails, etc.
The preloaded map is available in the gps, and works fine- can turn on/off, etc... but just can not use it to plan trips in BaseCamp. I have checked other threads and either the support misunderstood the problem... or for whatever reason, there was no resolution. Of course, I could have missed it.
I am sure this used to work (on older laptop using Vista), as I remember viewing routes in 3D view...
Could it be an OS thing?
***After posting, I installed MapSource and tried to "Receive from Device" and received a message "Some maps could not be opened because the following MapSource products are not installed Topo Adventure CD4 Bergen". This is the map I can no longer see in BaseCamp... It used to be visible, but now is no longer visible...
