BaseCamp asks for unsetting compatibility mode

Hi!

Since version 3.1.1 BaseCamp doesn't start anymore. It gives this message (sorry it's in french) "Vous devez désactiver le mode compatibilité avant de lancer cette application". I have no idea where I could unset that compatibility mode since it's not set on BaseCamp.exe and it says so even on a fresh install. I'm on Windows Vista.
Version 3.0.6 is working fine.

You can right-click a program exe file, select Properties -> tab
Compatibility. There, you can unset the mode.

Even if an older version of Basecamp has been uninstalled, a compatibility mode setting may still be involved. It is Windows that writes this setting in the registry. Basecamp does not check for this Windows setting or remove it when it uninstalls.

From the taskbar, click on the Start button
Windows 7 and Windows Vista - In the field just above Start type: REGEDIT
Press the Enter key on the keyboard
Click Yes in the User Account Control dialog (if necessary)
    In HKEY_CURRENT_USER browse to:
    Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers
To do this, click the triangle or plus sign next to each item listed until you get to Layers
    Click Layers to select it
Note: You may want to look in the right pane to see if things besides Basecamp are listed and you may need to expand the Name column to see the path (this is usually C:\Program Files\Garmin\Basecamp); if multiple items are listed, click just the Basecamp one to select it
    Press Delete
Click Yes in the Confirm Key Delete dialog.

You can also clear compatibility mode settings from Windows Explorer. These instructions are for Vista, they may vary slightly with Win7.

    * Navigate to the EXE (not a shortcut to the EXE)
    * Right click and select "Properties"
    * Select the "Compatibility" tab
    * Uncheck the "Compatability mode" checkbox.

All of the instances that I've seen this set, the user doesn't have any idea how it got changed. I don't know if Windows changes this setting automatically or not.
