Three Basecamp Questions

1) Is there a way in Basecamp to not display a category? Such as to not display the geocaches because they are cluttering up the screen but to display other things like tracks.

2) I have several sub-folders under My Collection. If I have 100 tracks in the sub-folders (I am making a trail map) and My Collection shows 101 tracks then I know that there is one track that is in My Collection alone. Is there an easy way to find out which track that is?

3) On my Oregon 450 I keep my Birdseye's on my SD card and my geocaches in the Oregon itself. Is there a way to display them at the same time in Basecamp without copying both to My Collection?

Good questions- there are no easy solutions of the type you are asking:
1. Filters and Lists help you select what you want to be displayed. But I don't know of a way to choose something 'not' to display, other than select a list that doesn't have what you want or a filter other than the one you want.
2. I don't know of an easier way than your way.If there had been some interface where you can see all the data in a grid view, with one of the columns being the list to which it belongs, then you would have been able to sort by that column and identify all data items that are not in a list.
3. Since they are in two different places (the computer and the device), there is no way (I know of) to tell BaseCamp to display both at the same time.

Re #2: Export your My Collection and each of your subfolders. Delete each of your lists/sub-folders. Look in your MyCollection - should have only one track left.

Then import everything you exported.

For no 1 it is either "one or all". No way to change this. It is a feature that has been requested several times in the past ........

I think the 3.2(?) Mac beta has such a feature for at least some items. Eventually that might get over here to the Windows side.
