Install to USB

Hi,

I'd like to be able to install basecamp to a USB or SD card and not require that it is installed to a specific PC.

When away I'd like to be able to plug in my usb or sd card into any laptop or pc when away from home and to be able to use it with my gpsmap 62s.

I don't always have my laptop when away and the abiliy to use basecamp in a internet cafe or a friends PC without installing to said PC would be an excellent feature

Cheers

I'd like to be able to install basecamp to a USB or SD card and not require that it is installed to a specific PC.

Probably impractical for at least two reasons I can think of.

    1) BaseCamp is a .NET application (requires .NET framework 3.5 SP1) and therefore requires "stuff" to be installed on the host machine so it can run.

    2) I'm not sure how many hotels/internet cafes let users run programs from or even allow access to USB ports. That's a huge security risk (installation of malware etc).

What about a Netbook? They're lighter and cheaper than a laptop and most could run Basecamp albeit slowly.
