I'm trying to take a scrum approach to software development. I would like to have a company, let's say, called MyCompany. Then a level below it for departments like Website, Sales, Marketing. And then each department has a component, so for marketing, the component would be Online Marketing. And then that component would have a strategy like Arrange Analytics Tracking (which can be given 6 month assignment). And then that strategy would have a number of tasks like sign up account, set up e-commerce tracking, etc, each of which are expected to be completed in a few days or so.
There's 5 layers here, two (Marketing, Online Marketing) of which have no time line associated with them. However, from what I see with basecamp, you can create a project, but that project can only have milestones and task. It doesn't seem to fit with the specification I explained above. Any idea how to make basecamp fit this structure?
