Load Mapsource maps to Basecamp

I finally upgraded from my GPS III plus to a Dakota 20. For the GPS III plus I have MapSource United States Topo Version 3 and MapSource Roads and Recreation version 2.01.

I have installed BaseCamp and am now trying to load the Mapsource topo and road maps into the Dakota 20 and it does not recognize the .img files as valid.

Is there a way to load these maps without having to have both MapSource and BaseCamp on my PC? I'd like to run BaseCamp only and avoid buying the maps again, I called customer support and there is no upgrade option, just repurchase.

thanks, bill -

Do yourself a great favor and go to www.gpsfiledepot.com and get some decent topo maps for your Dakota 20. The price is also right, FREE!

When you launch BaseCamp, does it load your US Topo v3? And, how did you load this map on the Dakota?

The reason I ask is that if BaseCamp loads your map, then I would expect that you can right click on the Dakota 20 icon in BaseCamp and select 'Install Maps' to install that map to your Dakota.

It does and that works for me as well as MapInstall, thanks a lot for your help.
