Sending Info to 62s Creates Duplicate Waypoints

I've found that when sending routes & waypoints directly to a GPSMAP 62s from BaseCamp, duplicate waypoints are created if the waypoint appears in more than one route. This does not happen (workaround) if I export the routes & waypoints to a GPX file and then copy it into the appropriate folder on the 62s. It also does not happen when sending the same info directly to a GPSMAP 60CSx. I can see that in some cases with unrelated routes this could be desirable behaviour to avoid overwriting different waypoints that happen to have the same name but in my case I often use common waypoints on several routes.

Glad you figured out the workaround already. When you ask this device how it wants the data, it says that it wants data in separate files so that it can parse the least number of files on startup to identify what changed. So when you send two routes from BaseCamp, it is sending two files to the device. Unfortunately, this device does not recognize that the waypoints in both files are the same. So it displays it twice.

The reason your workaround solves this problem is because you are saving a single GPX file to the Garmin\GPX folder of the device. You will have the same issue if you come back later on to send another route with a shared waypoint. But, for the case when you want to send two routes at the same time that have shared waypoints, your workaround will help.
