thanks for the info. I think they are in JnxFiles in that folder....anyway there is a bunch of cryptic named, very large 80mb or so, files with .jnx extension. There was nothing in the other folder.

    Birdseye file locations

This is the reply from Garmin as to where the Birdseye files are actually stored when you download:

"BaseCamp stores BirdsEye imagery in files located at %APPDATA%\Garmin\BaseCamp\JnxFiles"

And this is where they are, but the file names are cryptic and do not match what you named them when you downloaded.

Guys! Garmin never promised that u can get access to individual image tiles to do with as u please. I can imagine that Digital Globe itself that owns this data would have Garmin's hands tied behind their back to make sure hackers like us don't just directly access those jpg files. Just because Garmin doesn't give u the jpg file doesn't mean we can vent our frustration by calling the software hard to use.

I for one am perfectly happy with BaseCamp and BirdsEye. And am very grateful that Garmin has made actual software engineers who implement these software available on this forum. Let us treat them as we would like ourselves treated by not calling their work crap just because we don't like a few things.
