BaseCamp 3.0.6 Uk Discoverer and waypoints

New to the forum and would appreciate some help. Have bought a Dakota 20 with the whole UK maps bundle. I have the latest version of BaseCamp installed on my PC. I can see my UK maps that are on an SD card - but the create waypoint button is greyed out and not functional. Am I doing something wrong or is there still an issue with creating routes on the laptop to send to the Dakota?

Edit title should read GB Discoverer.

Ok, I've sorted that and got the waypoints to form a route. Now do I export to the Dakota or the card? I read somewhere that there was a risk of deleting data when I added to the card. As you will no doubt have gathered by now I'm a novice at this stuff.

You can copy the data to either the card or the device's internal memory. The advantage to copying to the device is that you could then use BaseCamp to edit the data you have on the device directly.
