Managing Lists and GPS Data

So I think I'm learning the lists under my collection. I guess they are really "collections" of related things. So I have a KMZ map file, a couple of tracks, a few waypoints, everything within it's own collection. Kind of a neat idea. Each area I tend to hike in will have it's own collection.

My question. Now that I understand how to manage everything in Basecamp, how does that translate to my Oregon 450. Does everything from my multiple collections just get dumped over all together or does the Oregon keep everything together as well?

Also, do I just drag and drop everything over? I'm worried about duplicates being created but don't want to have to visually double check everything.

Any feedback is appreciated!

Thanks!

Pretty much the former. Of course if you only transfer a subset of your data, only a subset, not everything, will go to the GPS. But BaseCamp's separate folder structure is not maintained on the device.

You can transfer everything, or just a collection, or just what you've encircled with your mouse. You won't get duplicates. But keep in mind that there is a maximum number of waypoints, tracks, etc. that the device can hold. And tracks aren't displayed by default; you have to use the track manager to display them, one track at a time.
