Am living in Germany and have a laptop here that came with Windows 7 of course in German. Unfortunately my German is rather basic, but I know enough to navigate around Windows and do the usual tasks.
I Just bought a Dakota 20 and TOPO Germany South 2010. When I downloaded Basecamp to the laptop it detected the German OS and automatically switched to downloading the German version, which is basically useless to me since I am not fluent in the language. And of course now my TOPO is linked to the German laptop and my Dakota device.
Since the language of Basecamp can't be changed on the German laptop (which I only discovered after the event and have since seen confirmed in other posts), is it possible to deinstall TOPO from my German laptop and start the whole device registration and Basecamp download process again using an English laptop (which I assume would solve the problem)? If not, how can this problembe solved?
