Basecamp Windows No GPX files on SD-card

No GPX files on SD-card

I uploaded some tracks (.gpx) to the SD-Card in my Dakota 20.
They all show up in the Dakota perfectly.
But not in Basecamp.
The left column in the Basecamp Main window shows the two devices: Dakota 20 and the SD Card (i:\). But the SD card seems empty.
Any idea how to make Basecamp show my GPX files?

Well here is a wild guess :). Explore the Dakota20 and see if the GPX files got sent there by mistake and not the SD card.

These electronic gadgets just drive me nuts. :eek:

But the files are correctly lying on the SD-Card:
I:\Garmin\GPX\

Can you either list or take a screenshots of the contents of that folder? I'll see if there's some reason that BaseCamp isn't reading them based on what the device advertises as data files.

In general the better bet would be to import the gpx files and then use BaseCamp to transfer the data.

Thanks for posting the picture. I wasn't able to get around to the testing I wanted to do for you today but I'll do my best to get to it tomorrow.

I checked with one of my colleagues and we only read data from the userdata.gpx file at this time.

We are discussing the possibility to change this in a future version of BaseCamp. In the meantime you should have best results if you import the gpx files into BaseCamp and then copy the data to the SD card that way.

I have exactly the same problem with my Oregon 450t!
I don't see the gpx files that I copied on my sd card.
Is there a solution?

I have lots of tracks and courses on my edge 800 and many on the sd card... I can see this by using windows explorer. They all show up fine on the device itself. But when the device is connected to Basecamp, clicking "All Data" below the device name shows nothing !!! From reading above, this is because I copied the files by the drag and drop method and didn't import them.
I think it's pretty poor that basecamp can't just read the contents of the device/card.
